Comedian Katherine Ryan may have joked about having extensive plastic surgery in the past, but in real life the star has only gone under the knife once – when she was just 20.
But now that she’s turned 40, the TV personality has revealed that she plans to have more work done, including liposuction and a facelift. In a recent interview, the mum-of-three explained: “I haven’t had nearly as much plastic surgery as I joke about. It’s like Jimmy Carr started joking about me having plastic surgery and then I just went with it.
“It was funny. But realistically, I’m 40 now. As I get older, why not have a facelift at some point? I think I would like it. My breasts probably need to be done. I’d like to have liposuction because they have this science now where they can take any fat from your body and put it back. So they put it in your bum or they put it in your face.
The Canadian-born star got breast implants at the tender age of 20 after saving up her earnings while working at restaurant chain Hooters. But one thing is holding the star back from going under the knife – her fear of choosing the wrong surgeon.
Speaking on Kathy Burke’s Where There’s A Will There’s A Wake podcast, Katherine continued: “I learnt that a footballer’s wife unfortunately died as a result. Because the doctor didn’t know what he was doing and he punctured her bowel like nine times. So I hear stories like that and I think I’m just stupid enough to do it anyway. I think it’s difficult to know. You think you’ve done all your research and you know who’s above the board, but anyone can have a bad day.
In her candid chat with Kathy, who is best known for playing Waynetta alongside Harry Enfield, Katherine also revealed she was left reeling after fearing naked photos of herself from a previous relationship would be leaked online – following a row with her ex.
