Shannen Doherty recently shared her unsettling experience with a cosmetic surgeon during an episode of her podcast, Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty. Speaking with her friend Anne Marie Kortright, Doherty revealed that she had sought a facelift consult but was taken aback by the surgeon’s response.
“I wanted to be told that I didn’t need a facelift,” Doherty expressed. “I went in to be like, ‘Oh, I’m here for a facelift consult,’ and what I wanted to hear was, ‘You don’t need one.'”
Contrary to her expectations, the actress was informed that she was a suitable candidate for a facelift. “And I was like, ‘No! No, not yet.’ It petrifies me,” she recalled.
Despite her apprehension, Doherty admitted to having undergone minor cosmetic procedures in the past, including Botox, despite her fear of needles. “I have had Botox,” she disclosed. “I’ve done it a couple of times. I think the last time I did it was, like, six months ago.”
In 2021, the 90210 alum had expressed her desire to embrace natural beauty. Through an Instagram post, she highlighted her appreciation for women who age gracefully without resorting to fillers, Botox, or facelifts. Doherty emphasized her own journey, celebrating the reflections of a life well-lived on her face.
The actress, diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2020, shared her optimism regarding potential advancements in cancer treatments during a recent episode of her podcast. She expressed hope for new therapies that could extend her life and eventually lead to a cure.
Doherty also revealed positive news about her cancer treatment in a recent podcast episode, citing progress in breaking down the blood-brain barrier after a series of treatments. Despite her ongoing health challenges, she remains resilient and optimistic about the evolving landscape of cancer therapies.
