Menuka Paudel, a prominent singer, recently underwent a delicate eye surgery known as ‘Cosmetic Prosthetic’ under the care of Dr. Purnima Rajakarnikar, a senior oculoplastic surgeon at the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.
The procedure, aimed at enhancing the appearance of her eyes, does not impact Paudel’s vision. Renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit clarified that while the prosthetic serves a cosmetic purpose, it does not offer functional improvement. However, it brings comfort to Paudel, eliminating the necessity for glasses.
Despite her journey through the realms of reality singing competitions, including Nepal Idol in 2017 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Paudel’s music career remains resilient. Her participation in Indian Idol 14 in 2023, where she reached the top 10, attests to her unwavering dedication to music, inspiring countless fans despite her visual impairment.
