Dr. Anu Adepoju, the founder of MedContour Services Limited, has passed away following a prolonged illness. Adepoju, known for her controversial approach to cosmetic surgery, was sentenced to one year in prison in May 2024 for her role in botched procedures and obstructing a police investigation.
Adepoju’s practice garnered significant attention due to her use of unlicensed “cocktail drugs,” which have not been clinically validated. Her notoriety escalated after the death of a patient, Neka Onwuzuligbo, who succumbed to complications from a failed surgery performed by Adepoju.
