In a candid appearance on the September 18 episode of MBC’s variety show “Radio Star” (episode 882), singer Park Seo Jin shared insights into his experiences with plastic surgery, sparking both laughter and surprise among viewers and fellow guests.
Referring to himself as a “hard-working handsome guy,” Park Seo Jin humorously noted the significant changes in his appearance over the years. When fellow guest Kim Gu Ra remarked on the good looks of Park’s parents, implying little needed improvement, Park surprised the panel by revealing the extent of his transformations. “If you look at the before and after pictures, there’s a big difference, and the total cost exceeded 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000),” he stated.
Upon viewing comparison photos, comedian Yoo Se Yoon exclaimed, “Ah! Now I get it.” Park elaborated that the “before” photo was from his appearance on “AM Plaza,” when his look was less refined. He disclosed that he had undergone a nose job once and had his eyes operated on three times. While receiving compliments for the natural results, Park humbly explained, “I aimed for a natural look. Even when I did my nose, I only increased the height by 1 millimeter,” emphasizing his preference for moderation.
In addition to surgical procedures, Park Seo Jin revealed he had received injections, dental work, and a hair transplant, humorously noting, “I moved the hair from the back to the front.” When asked to identify what parts of his appearance remained untouched, he quipped, “My ears, and… my eyeballs?” eliciting laughter from the audience.
Addressing his fans’ reactions to his surgeries, Park admitted, “Sometimes it’s a bit awkward because my fans don’t really notice. Recently, I found myself listed on social media as one of the ‘Top 5 Singers Who Changed Through Plastic Surgery.’ My fans defend me by saying, ‘Our singer only touched his eyes and teeth,’ but it’s awkward for me because I’ve actually fixed everything.” His honesty and humor resonated with viewers, providing an insightful look into the pressures and perceptions surrounding celebrity appearances.
