In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Sarper Guven shared his mixed feelings regarding Shekinah Garner’s decision to undergo a third rhinoplasty. During the episode that aired on October 7, Shekinah attended a consultation for her revision nose job in Turkey, following two previous surgeries. Sarper voiced his concerns about the procedure, questioning whether it was necessary for her to go under the knife once again.
“I’m so anxious about her surgery because she will take anesthetics, and it can take two to three hours,” Sarper explained. “I tried my best to convince her that she’s already beautiful; she’s starting to look like factory production.” He expressed apprehension about the growing trend among women to alter their appearances, stating, “Every girl is starting to look like each other. I don’t want that, but she wants it, so it’s out of my hands.”
As the doctor prepared to mark Shekinah’s nose for the surgery, Sarper requested to intervene, asserting that he had researched rhinoplasty procedures. “I’m a little control freak in our relationship, and I just studied the work,” Sarper admitted. “Can I show you something?”
Shekinah acknowledged Sarper’s concerns, saying, “He has a vision for what he wants my nose to look like.” Sarper reiterated his wish to communicate his preferences to the doctor, emphasizing, “At least give me a chance to talk to the doctor and tell him what I want because I will be the one who will see that every day.”
The surgeon, appearing bewildered by Sarper’s involvement, commented, “It’s the first time this is happening. It’s different and weird, but it’s okay.”
Shekinah later expressed her own worries about the surgery, which focused more on her recovery than the outcome. “After surgery, I’m not going to be my usual self,” she shared. “I’m not going to be serving Sarper. I’m not going to be entertaining him. I’m going to be in pain.” She regarded her recovery period as a crucial test for their relationship, hoping Sarper could step up during this challenging time.
The following day, as Shekinah prepared for the operation, the nurse delivered another shock: “No sexual intercourse for one month after the surgery.” Sarper was taken aback, responding, “One month, 30 days?” Shekinah also expressed her disbelief, exclaiming, “Wait, why? That’s so long.”
The nurse explained that physical activity could lead to complications, including bleeding, which left Sarper uncertain about adhering to the restrictions. “I know that surgery comes with a set of restrictions, but I’m shocked,” he remarked. He highlighted the significant time frame, stating there would be “7,200 hours of no sex.” Shekinah, determined to find a workaround, asked the nurse, “What if I’m not doing the extreme physical activity? He’s doing all the work.” The nurse reassured them that this would be acceptable before leaving the room.
Sarper continued to express his anxiety, saying, “I almost had a heart attack when she said one month.” Meanwhile, Shekinah urged him to focus on the surgery, snapping, “Can I please focus on my surgery right now?” Sarper suggested they could go home, but Shekinah retorted, “I think you should go home, and I’ll just stay here because you’re stressing me out at this point.”
In her confessional, Shekinah revealed, “I know Sarper really wants me to cancel this surgery, but we’re here in the hospital, and I really want this. So we are going to find a way around this ‘no sex for a month’ thing.”
As Sarper escorted Shekinah to the operating room, he continued to share his worries with the cameras. “Right now, our relationship is on eggshells, and I want to show that I will always be with her, but I have never in my life looked after anyone, so it will be difficult,” he admitted.
