A special festive concert is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, at 2 PM, at All Saints’ Parish Church in Northallerton, aimed at raising funds for the Friends of the Friarage Eye Appeal. The concert will feature the musical group Musicality, conducted by Andrea Rhodes and accompanied by Gillian Ash.
The event will include a selection of traditional carols, seasonal songs, and festive entertainment, all to support the charity’s goal of raising £200,000 for essential equipment needed for vireo-retinal (VR) surgery at the new surgical hub at Friarage Hospital.
Currently, patients from the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas requiring eye surgery must travel to the University Hospital of James Cook in Middlesbrough for treatment, highlighting the importance of the Eye Appeal’s initiative.
Tickets for the concert are priced at £10, with concessions available for £7 for individuals under 18, over 65, and unwaged. Tickets for children under five are available for just £3. They can be purchased by calling 07876 705550, at the Friends of the Friarage shop located on the ground floor of the hospital, or at the door on the day of the concert.
