Nicole Richie captivated attendees at the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala in West Hollywood, California, on Saturday, November 9, with her stunning appearance. The actress and House of Harlow 1960 designer turned heads in a striking purple Lanvin gown featuring a turtleneck, long sleeves, and intricate floral detailing. While her outfit was undoubtedly show-stopping, it was her radiant, flawless complexion that truly stole the spotlight.
Makeup artist Mai Quynh, who prepped Richie’s skin for the event, revealed the secret behind her luminous glow: a carefully curated skincare routine using products from Fig.1 Beauty, a science-backed brand co-founded by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Courtney Rubin in 2021. Quynh relied on several key Fig.1 products to prepare Richie’s skin before applying makeup.
“I started Nicole’s skin prep by using Fig. 1 Micellar Oil Cleanser ($24) to remove any impurities or leftover makeup,” Quynh explained. “After cleansing, I applied Fig. 1 Hydrating & Balancing Toner ($34) with a cotton pad to infuse her skin with hydration. Then, I followed up with Fig. 1 Ceramide Moisturizer ($34) to lock in moisture and create a smooth base for makeup.”
To brighten Richie’s eye area and reduce any signs of fatigue, Quynh applied Fig. 1 Vitamin C Eye Cream ($36) around her outer eyes. Finally, she prepped Richie’s lips with Fig. 1 ReviveLip Enzyme Mask ($16), allowing the product to soften and hydrate her lips as she worked on the rest of her makeup.
The results were nothing short of flawless. Richie’s makeup featured a soft, natural look that highlighted her glowing skin, with voluminous lashes and plum-colored eyeshadow that enhanced her natural beauty. “I wanted to keep her skin glowing and her makeup soft and chic, with subtle hints of pink and plum,” Quynh shared in a statement.
Richie’s appearance at the gala was the perfect blend of sophisticated glamour and effortless beauty, proving that great skin is the foundation for any flawless look.
