Mamelodi Sundowns left-back Terrence Mashego has stepped into the entrepreneurial spotlight with the launch of his own skincare brand, Euni Beauty. The 28-year-old footballer, in partnership with Grace Makhanya, has introduced a range of skincare products designed for both men and women.
The line features lotions, body oils, and shower gels, aiming to address diverse skincare needs. This venture makes Mashego the first professional athlete in South Africa to break into the skincare market.
“As a footballer, I’m always thinking ahead. I saw a unique opportunity in the skincare market – a gap that needed filling,” Mashego told FARPost. “Being the first professional athlete in South Africa to launch a skincare range was exciting. It’s a product we all use daily, so the potential is huge. The positive response from my teammates and the growing online community has been incredible.”
Focus on Natural Solutions
Euni Beauty emphasizes the use of natural ingredients such as jojoba, grapeseed, sunflower oil, and glycerine to create effective yet accessible skincare solutions. The brand’s initial offerings target common concerns like hyperpigmentation and anti-ageing, while its premium line addresses issues such as eczema and scars.
Mashego shared his passion for skincare, saying, “I’ve always been passionate about skincare. When I realised there was a need for a high-quality, accessible range, I knew I had to act. Launching my own brand was a natural step. I’m proud to offer products that I believe in and use myself.”
Entrepreneurial Vision
Mashego’s entrepreneurial mindset is evident in his approach to building Euni Beauty. “I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart,” he said. “When I saw the potential in the skincare market, I took the leap. It wasn’t just about creating a product; it was about building a brand. The journey has been challenging but incredibly rewarding.”
The footballer’s business venture has received significant support, with glowing feedback from both teammates and customers fueling his passion.
A Multifaceted Career
Mashego’s story extends beyond football and business. Born in Mamelodi, his professional journey began with Mthatha Bucks before moving to TS Galaxy and later Cape Town City FC, eventually landing at Mamelodi Sundowns.
In addition to his athletic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Mashego is also studying law at a South African university, showcasing his dedication to both personal growth and future opportunities.
With Euni Beauty, Mashego is proving that his ambitions extend far beyond the football field, setting an example of innovation and determination for athletes and entrepreneurs alike.
