Reality star Yazmin Oukhellou, 30, has been documenting her recovery on social media following a series of cosmetic procedures in Turkey. On Tuesday, she shared an update with her followers on TikTok, revealing the ‘sore’ and ‘swollen’ state of her face as she recovers from rhinoplasty and chin liposuction.
Oukhellou, who traveled to Istanbul for the procedures, spent £4,150 on rhinoplasty and £1,750 on liposuction to address excess fat around her chin. The former TOWIE star had undergone rhinoplasty once before in 2017 but sought to further refine the shape of her nose during this trip.
In a video posted on the third day of her recovery, Oukhellou described the experience as painful, stating, “Today is the worst day so far. I have a lot of swelling and so much pressure in my head. My eyelids are bruised and swollen. Apparently, days three and four are the worst for swelling, but it should subside after that.”
Yazmin also addressed concerns about her nose surgery, explaining that she had not drastically changed her nose’s appearance because she “liked the old shape.” She added, “It takes about a year to see the final result, but since I didn’t change the tip, it shouldn’t look too different.”
Despite the discomfort, Oukhellou has been transparent with her fans about the process. She responded to one fan’s question about how long she would need to wear her bandages, saying, “I think it’s six weeks, but I’ll confirm on Wednesday when I have my last appointment with the surgeon.”
Before undergoing surgery, Yazmin admitted to feeling anxious about the procedure but said sharing her journey on social media has helped her cope. “Keeping you updated has stopped me from feeling lonely. Overthinking is such a bad thing,” she said, adding that the staff at the clinic had been supportive, with one woman holding her hand until she fell asleep.
The reality star has been open about her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery despite initial concerns about being judged. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for ages, but I kept putting it off because I was worried about what people would think,” Yazmin explained. “But now I’m doing it because it makes me happy, and I want to be honest with my followers. I know I’ll get some hate, but I also think I can help others who are considering it.”
This isn’t the first time Oukhellou has gone under the knife. In 2020, she secretly had a Brazilian bum lift and liposuction with a Turkish surgeon, despite promoting a wellness lifestyle through her The Wellness Retreat Marrakech business. At the time, she shared a post from her surgeon’s Instagram showcasing her enhanced body. Yazmin also revealed she had previously undergone two breast augmentations and another nose surgery to correct a childhood injury.
Defending her decision to be open about her surgeries, Yazmin has said, “If you want to get surgery and you’ve been thinking about it for a long time, people shouldn’t be afraid to do it just because of judgment.” She stressed the importance of body autonomy, adding, “It’s my body, my choice, and people need to stop judging others for their decisions.”
Though the Brazilian bum lift (BBL) procedure, which involves transferring fat to the buttocks, is controversial and carries risks, including a mortality rate of one in 3,000, Yazmin has chosen to continue sharing her cosmetic journey with her followers, offering both transparency and support for others considering similar procedures.
