Andrew Walker, a staple of the Hallmark Channel, has made a name for himself as one of the network’s most beloved leading men. With his striking looks—a blend of Hollywood favorites like Glen Powell, Ryan Eggold, and a young Clint Eastwood—Walker is a frequent presence on Hallmark’s movie lineup. But behind the charming exterior lies a multifaceted individual who is much more than just a pretty face.
The Montreal-born actor and producer has had a busy year, starring in six Hallmark films, including Countdown to Christmas’s Jingle Bell Run and Three Wiser Men and a Boy. But his career doesn’t stop there. In addition to his acting work, Walker is also a devoted husband and father of two sons. On top of his family life, he’s ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding the skincare line SkinMason.
Walker’s passion for skincare comes from personal experience. He recalls struggling with skin issues caused by abrasive products, which led him to explore better solutions. “I’ve used very abrasive products that have given me skin issues, I’ve broken out, I’ve had rashes,” he shared. “I used to have these little alcohol wipes to take the rest of my makeup off.” His inspiration to start SkinMason came during a dinner with his friend Dr. Hussein Kanji, a heart and lung surgeon with expertise in detoxification and antioxidants. The two decided to create a simple yet effective skincare line, initially aimed at men, given the crowded nature of the women’s skincare market.
“The women’s space is so massive, but women and men can use the same skincare,” Walker explained. His motivation also stemmed from his own struggles with his wife Cassandra’s expensive skincare products. “My wife always scolded me for using too much of her stuff—I don’t know what to use! There are so many products out there.”
Two years later, SkinMason launched its first two core products: exfoliating wipes and a serum, followed by their new bioactive cream, which they do not simply call a moisturizer. The formula, which includes retinoid, Vitamin C, and phospholipids, works to rebuild collagen. Walker noted that renowned Botox co-innovator Jean Carruthers has endorsed all of their products.
As the holiday season approaches, Walker is also focused on his family. He and Cassandra, who recently relocated to Vancouver, plan to spend the holidays quietly with their children. “We’re just going to focus on family, put away the phones, put away technology, and spend time together,” he said, emphasizing the importance of taking a break from the demands of modern life.
For fans looking to get their hands on SkinMason products, the company is offering a 40% off Black Friday sale, with the option to buy individual items or sign up for a VIP subscription for regular refill orders at a discount. Even Walker’s wife has joined the ranks of SkinMason users, now enjoying the products he helped create.
In a world where Hollywood stars can often seem out of reach, Andrew Walker’s blend of humility, dedication to his craft, and entrepreneurial spirit is a refreshing reminder of what it means to balance family, career, and personal passions.
