Jocelyn Wildenstein, often labeled “Catwoman” due to her striking appearance and feline-like features, has addressed the long-standing rumors about her cosmetic surgeries. Despite frequent remarks from her former spouse and close friends about her extensive procedures, Wildenstein maintains that her appearance is not the result of plastic surgery.
In a recent interview, Wildenstein revealed that while she has had some beauty treatments, including Botox, she does not consider herself a heavy user of cosmetic enhancements. “I haven’t had plastic surgery. I am scared of what can happen, and I don’t like to have something heavy,” she stated. She also explained her aversion to Botox, sharing that the treatment caused her face to swell in an adverse reaction.
The Swiss socialite’s appearance, which has been compared to that of a lynx, has been a subject of speculation for years. Wildenstein, who has admired the animal for its “perfect eyes,” insists that her features are natural and inherited from family traits, including her grandmother’s “cat eyes” and “high cheekbones.”
Her relationship with her late ex-husband, billionaire art collector Alec Wildenstein, has often been in the spotlight, particularly concerning their divorce and his public comments on her surgeries. Alec claimed that Jocelyn believed facial features could be altered as easily as furniture, and expressed regret over her numerous procedures. Despite these claims, Jocelyn has always defended her choices and recently dismissed the allegations that she had undergone extensive surgery.
Wildenstein’s life has been filled with both personal and public challenges. Her marriage to Alec, which began in 1978, was a defining chapter. The couple, who had two children, Diane and Alec Jr., shared a luxurious life at their African ranch, Ol Jogi, where Wildenstein took pride in her contributions to the estate. However, their marriage took a dramatic turn when Alec was arrested in 1999 for allegedly threatening her with a gun. They divorced later that year.
After the divorce, Wildenstein largely withdrew from the public eye, focusing on raising her children. However, she began to open up in interviews after decades of silence, citing her children’s upbringing as the reason for her avoidance of the press. “I didn’t want anything negative to impact them,” she explained.
Despite her tumultuous past, including a 2016 altercation with her boyfriend, Lloyd Klein, which led to assault charges being dismissed in 2017, Wildenstein has reemerged as a public figure. She has shared glimpses of her family life, including throwback photos of her time at Ol Jogi and her daughter Diane’s involvement in the equestrian world.
Jocelyn Wildenstein’s story remains a complex blend of opulence, controversy, and resilience. As she continues to navigate life under the public’s gaze, she remains a figure who challenges expectations and embraces her individuality.
