LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – New trends in cosmetic surgery emerge almost every year, fueled in part by celebrities and social media influencers whose looks shape beauty standards.
Stefany Escobar Espinoza, a 30-year-old mother of three young girls, decided to make some changes to her appearance to boost her confidence.
“I wanted to feel better about myself,” she told 8 News Now. “I wanted to feel better.”
She told 8 News Now she waited until her girls were back in school and scheduled a consultation and several procedures with Mia Aesthetics in Las Vegas.
“We’re seeing an increase in women seeking breast surgery, tummy tucks, we call them mommy makeovers,” explained Espinoza’s surgeon, Dr Dana Towle.
Being a mother is something to cherish, but it can change a woman’s body as she ages.
“Most people end up with a little extra skin on their tummy, sagging breasts, and they want to get back to where they were, or as close to that as we can get them,” Dr Towle added.
“I wanted to be able to wear certain things that I was able to wear before I had children. That’s why I ended up having my mommy makeover,” Espinoza added.
The latest statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons show that Americans will have one and a half million plastic surgery procedures in 2022.
The top five procedures include liposuction, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, breast lift and eyelid surgery.
Although not in the top five, the Brazilian butt lift experienced a massive boom in the late 2010s.
“The mummy makeover consists of breasts, breast lifts. I also had a BBL and a tummy tuck, which includes liposuction,” Espinoza added.
She said she couldn’t be happier with her transformation.
“I healed very quickly, I didn’t have any complications,” she told 8 News Now.
Everyone is different, so the cost of the same procedure can vary greatly from person to person.
The location of the surgery and the experience of your doctor can also affect the price.
