A colleague of Dr. Katharine Grawe, the plastic surgeon known for her controversial TikTok videos and livestreams of plastic surgeries, has voluntarily surrendered his medical license, as confirmed by state medical board documents.
The Ohio Medical Board accepted the permanent surrender of Carlos Domingo’s license as part of a settlement agreement on February 14. Domingo worked alongside Grawe at Roxy Plastic Surgery, her plastic surgery center in Ohio. The board cited Domingo’s failure to adhere to minimal standards of care in their documents.
According to Jerica Stewart, a spokesperson for the state medical board, the settlement agreement addresses Domingo’s violation of laws and regulations enforced by the board. Surrendering his license allows Domingo to bypass a disciplinary hearing, similar to the one Grawe underwent in 2023.
Grawe faced suspension of her license in November 2022, accompanied by multiple lawsuits against her. State medical board documents obtained by WSYX revealed that the board found clear evidence of Grawe’s violations of sections in the Ohio Revised Code, deeming her continued practice a danger to public safety. In July, the Ohio State Medical Board permanently revoked Grawe’s medical license.
Grawe had gained a significant following on social media platforms like TikTok and Snapchat by live-streaming her procedures, but former patients alleged post-procedure injuries.
Before the board’s ruling, Grawe defended her social media content, claiming it served educational and patient engagement purposes during her appearance before the state medical board’s hearing examiner.
