Dr. Paul Nassif, renowned for his appearances on the reality TV show “Botched,” has issued a cautionary message to Gypsy Rose Blanchard in light of news regarding her recent rhinoplasty surgery.
Blanchard, previously entangled in a widely publicized case involving the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, due to the actions of her former boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, made headlines once again. This time, it was for her decision to undergo a nose job procedure.
Following her release from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri after serving eight and a half years for her involvement in her mother’s murder, Blanchard has been endeavoring to raise awareness about her past experiences. However, she also opted for some self-care by undergoing rhinoplasty surgery last week.
Dr. Nassif, speaking to TMZ, urged Blanchard to exercise caution and avoid becoming fixated on altering her appearance excessively. He warned of the potential pitfalls of becoming addicted to cosmetic alterations, emphasizing the importance of moderation in such endeavors.
Acknowledging that some individuals may undergo multiple procedures in pursuit of a particular aesthetic, Dr. Nassif expressed hope that Blanchard would not succumb to such tendencies. He emphasized the significance of proper procedure execution and patient selection for achieving favorable outcomes.
Responding to concerns about the timing of Blanchard’s surgery, particularly considering her recent release from prison, Dr. Nassif emphasized that the timing was inconsequential if it contributed to her well-being and self-confidence.
Blanchard, though yet to reveal the results of her surgery, shared a post-surgery image with TMZ, indicating that the procedure went well. She later disclosed to People magazine that she was recuperating at home, albeit experiencing initial discomfort and nasal congestion.
The rhinoplasty was performed by Dr. Jeffrey J. Joseph in Lafayette, Louisiana, a prominent facial plastic surgeon known for his expertise in the field.
According to sources close to Blanchard, the desire to undergo rhinoplasty had been a longstanding one, motivated by a desire to refine her nasal appearance and achieve a more feminine aesthetic.
Excitingly for her supporters, Blanchard’s journey, including her post-release adjustment period and her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery, will be chronicled in her upcoming Lifetime docuseries, “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up,” slated to debut in June.
Blanchard’s case, marked by the revelation of her long-term victimization by her mother’s fabrication of various medical conditions under the guise of Munchausen’s by Proxy, remains a poignant and peculiar narrative. Her release on early parole in December marked a significant turning point in her life trajectory.
