Katie Price, the former glamour model, has announced her intention to undergo more surgery following her recent 17th breast augmentation. The 47-year-old revealed her dissatisfaction with her current appearance, citing ongoing body dysmorphia concerns that her mother, Amy, has voiced.
“I’m not content now, I’m having more surgery next week,” Katie stated frankly, acknowledging her persistent dissatisfaction with her body image. “I don’t ever look in the mirror and think I look good. I never have done. So, there’s obviously an underlying issue.”
Body dysmorphic disorder, a condition characterized by excessive preoccupation with perceived flaws in appearance, is often associated with such sentiments.
Katie’s decision to undergo numerous cosmetic procedures reflects her desire to achieve a specific aesthetic, likening herself to a Bratz doll. “It’s my body and I do what I want to do,” she asserted, defending her choice to openly discuss her surgeries while acknowledging societal pressures to conceal such enhancements.
However, Katie’s focus on cosmetic alterations coincides with mounting legal troubles. Recently declared bankrupt for a second time after failing to settle over £750,000 in unpaid taxes, she faces potential consequences including the loss of her home, “Mucky Mansion.”
The legal drama escalated when Katie failed to appear at a High Court hearing regarding her finances, prompting serious repercussions from the court. “She may be held in contempt of court, imprisoned, fined or a warrant issued for her arrest,” one barrister informed the judge, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Despite her legal challenges, Katie remains resolute in her approach to personal choices, including her ongoing pursuit of cosmetic enhancements amidst public scrutiny and legal turmoil.
