Katie Price’s recent £10,000 facelift, her sixth such procedure, has sparked concerns about potential serious side effects, including symptoms that might resemble a stroke. The former glamour model, 46, traveled to Turkey for the surgery last month after being refused a facelift by her previous surgeon, Dr. Jeya Prakash, in 2022 due to worries about her possible addiction to cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Prakash, who has treated Price since 1996, including her first two breast augmentations, expressed his concerns about her health. He stated, “I said she doesn’t need a facelift. Health is very important. She went to other places where people didn’t look after her health, only her image.”
In contrast, Dr. Julien De Silva, another cosmetic expert, warned that additional surgeries increase risks of complications, such as visible scarring and temporary facial asymmetry. De Silva explained that these complications could mimic the appearance of a stroke or result in haematomas, which are blood clots under the skin.
Price has a well-documented history of cosmetic procedures, including rhinoplasty, veneers, and 16 breast augmentations. Despite claiming in 2021 that she was not addicted to surgery and did not wish to look unnatural, she continues to undergo procedures.
Addressing her surgeries, Price compared them to a car’s maintenance, stating, “If you get a scratch or a dent, you fix it, and that’s how I feel with my body.” She denied attempting to look younger or like a “freak,” but acknowledged the risk and pain associated with surgery.
Recently, Price humorously addressed her post-surgery appearance, admitting that while she was pleased with the results, she needed to adjust her eyebrows. She shared on social media, “I look plastic because I am plastic, at least I tell you all what I’ve done.”
Despite facing a warrant related to her £760,000 bankruptcy case, Price maintained a positive outlook, emphasizing her personal progress and resilience. She concluded with a call for assistance in reshaping her eyebrows, inviting recommendations through her Instagram Story.
