74-year-old Werner Mang, a prominent figure in plastic surgery, is celebrating his daughter Gloria’s appointment as the new head of the Bodenseeklinik he founded. As he approaches his 75th birthday, Mang expressed his pride in seeing his legacy continue through his daughter. “There’s no greater beauty than seeing a child carry on a business,” Mang told.
Despite his pride, Mang acknowledged the difficulties of this leadership transition. “It’s a learning curve with disagreements and tension,” he said, noting Gloria’s tech-savvy approach contrasts with his own lack of technological knowledge.
Mang, recognized as Germany’s leading plastic surgeon, has led the Bodenseeklinik in Lindau since 1989. His notable achievements include the successful reconstruction of actor Götz George’s nose after a fracture.
The Commission is expected to address the impact of technological advancements on the Regulation’s application, as Gloria Mang’s tech-oriented strategies for promoting the clinic might influence regulatory adaptations.
