Jennifer Pamplona, 31, an influencer and model known for her extensive cosmetic surgeries, has revealed that her aspirations of becoming a mother are now “shattered” due to complications from buttock fillers. Pamplona, who has spent over US$1 million to emulate her idol Kim Kardashian, began her journey with plastic surgery at age 17 and has undergone more than 30 procedures.
Pamplona disclosed her heartbreak, stating that her dreams of starting a family are at risk because of complications from Polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA), a common filler used for buttock augmentation. Dr. Carlos Rios, her plastic surgeon, explained that the PMMA has caused severe pain and complications, potentially affecting her reproductive organs.
Dr. Rios described Pamplona’s condition as “a matter of life or death” but noted that she has been stabilized through a combination of meditation, diet, and medication. Following a diagnosis of body dysmorphia in 2022, Pamplona decided to halt further surgeries. She is now facing significant challenges and awaits reconstructive surgery in Colombia.
Pamplona emphasized that while she is not opposed to plastic surgery, she advocates for a more mindful approach, particularly in addressing emotional health.
