Melania Trump’s forthcoming memoir, titled simply “Melania,” aims to explore the “experiences, challenges, and achievements” of her life journey. Announcing the book on Instagram, Trump described it as an intimate look into her personal and professional evolution.
However, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former White House aide and once close friend of Trump, has expressed skepticism about the book’s authenticity. Wolkoff has criticized the memoir’s credibility, suggesting that it will offer a skewed portrayal of Trump’s life.
In a series of critical tweets, Wolkoff has accused Trump of presenting a misleading narrative. She highlighted discrepancies in Trump’s public statements and past appearances, including resurfacing an old Aflac advertisement from Trump’s modeling days. Wolkoff questioned whether this early career phase would be addressed in the book.
Additionally, Wolkoff shared images that appear to contradict Trump’s previous denials of plastic surgery. In 2016, Trump stated that she had not undergone any cosmetic procedures, yet old photos suggest significant changes in her appearance over the years.
Wolkoff portrays Trump as a figure obsessed with crafting a favorable public image, suggesting that Trump prioritizes appearances over reality. She criticized Trump for allegedly forgetting her origins while advancing her own image and success.
A recent photo posted by Trump, showing a view from her Trump Tower condo, has been interpreted by Wolkoff as a symbol of Trump’s detachment from her past. Wolkoff implied that Trump’s current lifestyle contrasts sharply with her modest beginnings, suggesting that her memoir will reflect a distorted view of her true journey.
Wolkoff also accused Trump of using and manipulating those around her to achieve her goals. She claimed that Trump leveraged her relationship with Donald Trump to enhance her own status and secure her current position.
The memoir is set to be released soon, with a “collector’s edition” available for $150 on Trump’s website. As the publication date approaches, questions about the accuracy and honesty of Trump’s account continue to emerge.
