Hairline and Scalp: Often exposed due to direct sunlight, the scalp needs protection. A hat is recommended for those who spend prolonged periods outdoors.
Back of the Neck: Frequently concealed by hair, this area still requires sunscreen application, especially for those with shorter hairstyles or those who wear their hair up.
Ears: Protruding ears are highly prone to sunburn. They should be thoroughly covered with sunscreen.
Eyelids and Undereyes: The delicate skin around the eyes is vulnerable to UV damage. Apply a lightweight SPF cream cautiously to avoid irritation.
Lips: Lips can burn easily, and early signs of cancer are often misinterpreted. Use a lip balm with SPF 30 or higher, reapplying frequently.
Hands and Feet: Often neglected, these areas are equally susceptible to sun damage. Regularly apply sunscreen, particularly when wearing open footwear.
Addressing these overlooked areas can significantly reduce the risk of skin cancer and ensure better protection against UV exposure.
