Everland Resort has announced the publication of groundbreaking research demonstrating that its new rose variety, the “Ever-rose,” offers significant anti-aging and antioxidant properties. The findings were featured in the esteemed SCIE-level academic journal, Chemical and Biological Technologies in Agriculture.
Since 2013, Everland has been committed to advancing its rose cultivation efforts, successfully developing 37 new varieties. The resort’s latest research emphasizes its dedication to scientific excellence and innovation in horticulture.
Collaborative Research Initiative
The study was conducted in collaboration with Cosmax, a leading global cosmetics Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), alongside researchers from Kyung Hee University and Konkuk University. The research aimed to explore the potential anti-photoaging and antioxidant benefits of Everland’s newly developed rose varieties, particularly focusing on the Ever-rose extract, which emerged as the most promising candidate.
Notably, Everland’s “Perfume Everscape” rose—an award-winning variety recognized for its pest and disease resilience—was also found to contain valuable anti-aging and antioxidant components.
The Science Behind the Roses
Roses are renowned for their natural antioxidant properties, which support skin cell health and tissue regeneration. Professor Kim Kyung-Sook from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Kyung Hee University praised the “Perfume Everscape,” confirming its exceptional anti-aging benefits due to its high content of polyphenols and flavonoids.
Everland’s Commitment to Rose Cultivation
Everland has been celebrating its rich tradition of rose festivals since 1985 and has actively promoted the domestic cultivation of roses since 2013. With over 1,500 breeding studies conducted annually, Everland’s dedicated Rosarians have developed an impressive array of rose varieties.
Recently, Everland signed a contract to export its “Perfume Everscape” and “Garden Everscape” cultivars to Japan, as part of an effort to secure cultivar protection in that market. Ha Ho-Su, who oversees rose development at Everland, expressed the organization’s commitment to introducing fragrant, healthful roses: “We strive to utilize the excellent characteristics of our domestically produced roses for various applications.”
Florevida: A New Beauty Line
In addition to its horticultural endeavors, Everland has launched Florevida, a beauty brand featuring a range of body and hair care products infused with extracts from its roses. This line includes perfumes, shampoos, and lotions, allowing consumers to enjoy the enchanting fragrance of Everland’s roses daily.
As Everland continues to innovate in both rose cultivation and product development, it remains dedicated to enhancing the beauty and health benefits of its floral offerings.
