Actress Krystle D’Souza has spoken out against the ongoing speculation regarding her appearance, particularly the persistent rumors about plastic surgery. Expressing her frustration over the scrutiny she faces online, D’Souza challenged the right of internet users to judge her personal choices.
The star of Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai addressed the online trolling surrounding her looks. “I constantly receive comments on social media asking, ‘After so much surgery, why does she still look like this?’ Who is asking about my surgeries? I’m terrified of going under the knife,” she stated. D’Souza acknowledged that while she has the means to seek cosmetic enhancements, she emphasized that such decisions are hers alone. “If I want to beautify myself, I have the capability to consult a dermatologist. That’s my choice.”
The actress firmly defended her autonomy, saying, “It’s my body, my face, and I can do whatever I want. Even if I have had surgery, it’s still my face and body, so no one has the right to comment. If you don’t like how I look, just unfollow me.”
Known for her roles in popular shows like Udaan, Naagin 3, and Fittrat, Krystle D’Souza recently appeared in the film Visfot, where she portrayed the character Lucky. The crime thriller features a strong ensemble cast, including Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, and Priya Bapat. Visfot tells the story of a slum-dwelling family in Mumbai, whose lives intersect with those of a wealthy high-rise family. The film was released on September 3 and is available on Jio Cinema.
D’Souza’s candid remarks shine a light on the broader issue of societal pressures on women’s appearances, underscoring the importance of individual choice and self-acceptance in the face of public scrutiny.
