Melania Trump, the former First Lady and wife of ex-President Donald Trump, has long been the subject of speculation regarding her youthful appearance. At 54, she is frequently admired for her high cheekbones, full lips, and smooth complexion. However, the Slovenian ex-model, who recently released her memoir titled Melania on October 8, has consistently denied undergoing plastic surgery.
Dr. Gary Linkov, a prominent plastic surgeon based in New York, estimates that Trump may have invested approximately $203,000 (£155,335) in cosmetic procedures, which includes a face-lift valued at around $50,000 (£38,260). In a YouTube video with over 350,000 views, Dr. Linkov outlines what he believes to be a range of cosmetic enhancements, including a nose job, fillers, Botox, cheek implants, and the aforementioned face-lift.
Analyzing her transformation over the years, Dr. Linkov presented images of Trump starting from 1987, when she was just 17 years old. He noted her natural features at that age, highlighting her full eyebrows, almond-shaped eyes, and a nose with a round tip. However, he suggested that by the time she was 28, subtle changes were evident, particularly in the shape of her nose, which appeared less bulbous. This led Dr. Linkov to propose that she may have undergone rhinoplasty by 1998.
Further examination of photographs from 1999 showed that her lips appeared fuller, and while fillers were not FDA-approved until 2003, Dr. Linkov speculated that she might have used collagen or microdroplet silicone at that time. As he continued his analysis, he noted that by age 34, in 2004, her cheeks looked noticeably fuller. He questioned whether she may have had cheek implants, given the symmetry and projection of her cheeks, which he believed would be difficult to achieve with fillers alone.
Dr. Linkov pointed out that as Trump approached her late 30s, her eyes seemed smaller, potentially due to a brow lift that created a more cat-eye appearance. In a photograph taken when she was 52, he observed that her neck skin and jawline appeared smoother, which he attributed to a possible face-lift and Botox treatments on her forehead and crow’s feet.
As Dr. Linkov continued his analysis, he noted that by 2012, when Trump was 42, she exhibited early signs of jowling, and by 2014, her forehead wrinkles and eye appearance suggested changes in her Botox routine. At 49, she showed signs of aging, including neck skin laxity and downturned lips. Yet, by 52, her neck and jawline appeared notably rejuvenated, again raising questions about the extent of cosmetic procedures she may have undergone.
Despite the analysis, Dr. Linkov acknowledged the challenge of confirming surgical alterations, particularly since many of Trump’s photographs show her with hair obscuring the sides of her face, which could conceal scarring. He mentioned that skin-tightening treatments could also account for any improvements in skin laxity.
Throughout the speculation surrounding her appearance, Melania Trump has remained adamant that she has not undergone any cosmetic surgery. In 2016, she stated, “I didn’t make any changes. A lot of people say I am using all the procedures for my face. I didn’t do anything. I live a healthy life; I take care of my skin and my body. It’s all me. I will age gracefully, as my mom does.”
Another plastic surgeon, Dr. Gary Motykie, has previously commented on her appearance, suggesting that while he does not suspect she has had a face-lift, there are signs of a possible nose job and filler usage. He estimated her total expenditure on cosmetic procedures to be between $45,000 and $50,000.
In conclusion, while speculation about Melania Trump’s cosmetic enhancements continues to swirl, she maintains her position against the use of surgical procedures, attributing her appearance to genetics and a healthy lifestyle.
