During the first season of The Golden Bachelor, Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles quickly became close friends, not just because of their striking resemblance to reality TV personalities Caitlyn and Kris Jenner, but through their shared experiences on the show.
Despite not receiving the final rose from bachelor Gerry Turner, the two have maintained their bond, and now Susan is by Kathy’s side as she recovers from a recent plastic surgery procedure.
In a series of Instagram video diaries, Kathy has been documenting her recovery after undergoing a lower face lift and a CO2 laser peel. Susan, ever the supportive friend, has been assisting her throughout the healing process.
In the first video, Kathy, still wrapped in bandages, provided an update to her followers. “It wasn’t bad,” she shared. “My ear hurts a little, and I’m a bit burnt, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. In a few days, I’ll be as good as new.”
Susan, watching over her friend, hinted that she too might consider a cosmetic procedure in the near future.
On day two of Kathy’s recovery, her face appeared more swollen due to the CO2 peel, and she admitted that speaking had become difficult, though the pain remained manageable. Joining Kathy for the update was fellow Golden Bachelor alum Nancy Hulkower. Kathy also took the opportunity to thank her plastic surgeon, Dr. Joseph Danyo, for his work.
Fans have been delighted by Kathy and Susan’s ongoing friendship, which blossomed during their time on The Golden Bachelor. While many eagerly await Kathy’s full transformation, it’s the duo’s camaraderie that has truly captured their hearts.
“She went on the show for a man and came out with best friends,” one follower commented. Another added, “It’s so heartwarming to see two of my favorites end up as BFFs. I’d rather have friendships like this than anything else.”
