Former reality TV star Dawn Ward, 51, recently shared her post-facelift recovery experience with her Instagram followers. Known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Cheshire,” Ward took to social media to document her journey, posting an image of her face wrapped in black bandages and medical tape, her blonde hair tied in a bun, while she rested in bed wearing a maroon polo shirt.
In a video update, Ward spoke about her progress, stating, “This is day two, my face is really tight. Apparently, this is my worst day.” Despite the discomfort, she found comfort in discovering a new TV series to binge-watch during her recovery. “On a good note, I’ve just found Married At First Sight series six, so I’m super happy,” she shared with her followers.
Addressing questions from fans about her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery, Ward clarified her intentions. “I’m not changing the way I look, just wanting to look like a fresher version of myself. Loads of my friends have had it done. Just having a little freshen up, so there you go!” she explained, responding to the public’s curiosity about her choice.
Ward’s facelift comes at a time of significant change for her family. Earlier this year, she sold her £6.5 million mansion and relocated to Dubai with her husband, former footballer Ashley Ward, following financial difficulties. The couple faced four County Court Judgments for unpaid bills totaling over £62,000, including a debt of £40,255 owed to a merchant bank and wealth advisor.
Now settled in Dubai with Ashley and their two youngest daughters, Charlie and Aston, Ward is embracing her new chapter. The couple’s older daughters, Taylor and Darby, remain in the UK and have both become mothers. Ward explained that the decision to move was largely driven by the thriving business environment in Dubai, which benefits her interior design company, Arista Design Limited.
“While I’m known for being on television, my actual ‘real job’ is that I’m an interior designer, and the economy out here is really strong,” Ward said in a recent interview. “There’s a lot of people moving here, with new properties being built all the time.” She added that her children have adjusted well to their new home, appreciating the city’s low crime rates and high-quality schools.
Despite past financial setbacks, Ward remains optimistic about her future. As she continues to recover from her facelift, she looks forward to focusing on her business and enjoying her family’s new life in Dubai.
