Hannah Jiles, known for her appearance on “Love Is Blind,” is opening up about her weight-loss journey and candidly sharing her experiences with cosmetic procedures.
The 27-year-old revealed that she once weighed 220 pounds, but today she is down to about 145 pounds. Discussing her motivation for the transformation, Jiles hinted that her journey was driven by both self-improvement and a hint of “revenge.”
Jiles admitted that weight has always been a struggle for her, and the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated her challenges.
“Whether I was skinny or heavier, I always had problems. I love to eat, I love to binge-eat, and I hate working out,” Jiles said. “During COVID, I gained a lot of weight like many others. I was feeling sorry for myself and never took action.”
When she appeared on “Love Is Blind,” Jiles weighed 175 pounds, having already undergone liposuction on her lower abdomen, back, and neck a year to a year and a half before filming. Reflecting on that time, she said, “I thought, ‘These are things I don’t like, so let’s change them.’ After the show, I realized I could be fitter, healthier, and feel even better.”
Jiles also opened up about a connection between her anxiety and her eating habits, stating, “I eat to cope. After the show, I got on anxiety medication, which really helped. I’m not anxiously eating as much.”
When “Love Is Blind” Season 7 aired on Netflix in September, fans noticed Jiles’ slimmer physique, sparking rumors that she was using Ozempic, a popular weight-loss drug.
Jiles clarified the speculation: “I tried Ozempic in the spring, the generic version. I took it for about two weeks, but it made me too sick. I felt nauseous and couldn’t eat. I decided I’d rather be heavier than feel that way. But I think it’s an amazing option for those it works for.”
Instead of relying on medication, Jiles said she focused on portion control and movement.
“I didn’t really change what I ate, just how much. I’ve done crash diets, and they don’t work for me. I eat smaller portions of what I like and try to balance it out,” she explained. “I eat a lot of fish at home because cooking meat grosses me out. I try to include proteins and greens, but if I want fries for dinner, I’ll have fries. It’s all about balance.”
While she admitted she doesn’t enjoy working out, Jiles said she occasionally attends Pilates classes. She also noted that her obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) keeps her active through cleaning, which she described as a form of exercise.
“It’s nothing drastic that I’ve done,” Jiles said. “I’m also a lot happier, and that really helps.”
Jiles shared that she avoids obsessively tracking her weight, weighing herself only every two weeks to ensure she stays on track.
In addition to her weight loss, Jiles has undergone a few cosmetic procedures, including lip filler, Botox in her forehead, and hair extensions.
“I haven’t done anything crazy, but I’m very open about it,” she said. “When people watch TV, like the Kardashians, and think, ‘Oh my God, these beauty standards,’ I could never. But they’ve had a lot of work done, and that’s why. Weight loss changed my face, but my lips wouldn’t look like this, and I’d have wrinkles without these procedures. It’s fake stuff.”
Jiles remains transparent about her journey, both physically and mentally, as she continues to embrace a healthier, happier lifestyle.
