Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania is on a self-care journey and isn’t afraid to share her experiences with her fans. Known for her tough persona, Catania has walked her followers through various stages of her life, including moments of vulnerability, such as when she faced a biopsy that left her “scared to death,” and her ongoing co-parenting relationship with ex-husband Frank Catania Sr. Now, she’s focusing on herself, with an emphasis on self-care and addressing insecurities through cosmetic procedures.
In a recent interview, Catania candidly discussed her history with cosmetic enhancements. She has been open about the various procedures she has undergone over the years, describing them as part of her journey to feel her best. “From the top down,” Catania shares, she has undergone a variety of treatments, including hair extensions, Botox, eyelid surgery, a facelift, lip filler, and a lower facelift. She also reveals that she’s had a breast augmentation, liposuction, and a fat transfer to her buttocks, although she clarifies that she hasn’t opted for butt implants, only a “little lift.”
Despite her extensive list of cosmetic work, Catania emphasizes that she does not regret any of the procedures. “When you wake up from a procedure, you wish you were dead sometimes,” she admits, “but it’s always worth it.”
Among the most notable procedures Catania has had is a tummy tuck, which she describes as an “infamous” part of her transformation. “I saved it because it’s a rough recovery, but it was so worth it. My stomach is tight as a drum,” she reflects. However, the procedure caused some tension in her relationship with then-boyfriend David, who wasn’t initially supportive of the decision. “David did everything, he showered me, he took care of me, but he hated my guts,” she jokes.
Now, Catania is continuing her self-care journey with yet another cosmetic procedure. This fall, she’s opting for a “simple one-time treatment” that uses a “Renuvion wand” to target collagen-rich tissues and tighten the skin around her knees—a part of her body she has felt insecure about. The procedure, which is performed by a doctor, works by pulling the skin closer to the muscle, helping to address areas of loose skin.
In her Instagram post, Catania explained her decision: “Self-care and confidence-building are part of who I am,” adding that her new partnership with Renuvion is an exciting step in her ongoing wellness journey.
Catania’s candidness about her cosmetic procedures highlights her commitment to personal care, as well as her desire to empower others to feel confident in their own skin. While some may view these procedures as superficial, for Catania, they are an integral part of her self-care routine that helps her to feel her best, inside and out.
