Cameron Diaz is grateful she never succumbed to the pressure of cosmetic enhancements during the peak of her Hollywood career. The 52-year-old actress, known for her roles in Charlie’s Angels and Annie, has expressed relief for not following the trend of Botox and fillers, which was widespread among her peers in the industry.
An insider revealed that Diaz, although she initially experimented with cosmetic procedures, quickly realized they didn’t suit her. “It’s no secret Cameron used to get a little bit of work, just like everybody else in her industry,” the source explained. “She was under pressure to get Botox and all that stuff, but she hated how it changed her face. She swore off it years ago, and it’s really paid off because she looks fantastic and very natural, unlike a lot of her peers.”
Diaz, who shares two children—daughter Raddix, 4, and son Cardinal, 7 months—with her husband, Benji Madden, has expressed concern for some of her peers who chose to heavily rely on injectables. “She feels quite sorry for some of those peers that she’s still in touch with when she meets them for lunch and sees their faces contorted, full of fillers, and looking puffy and weird,” the insider shared.
Despite avoiding drastic measures to alter her appearance, Diaz’s natural beauty is undeniable. “Everyone has noticed Cameron’s happy, healthy glow, and she always credits her laid-back lifestyle out of the spotlight,” the source noted. “For the most part, she’s totally over Hollywood and all the superficiality.”
Diaz has also embraced a holistic approach to wellness, focusing on maintaining her health from the inside out. “She accepts that she is going to age and doesn’t try to stay frozen in time,” the insider added. “She eats a very healthy whole foods diet but doesn’t deprive herself; she just makes good choices.”
