Bollywood actress and former Miss Sri Lanka, Jacqueline Fernandez, is known for her stunning looks and radiant skin. However, she has revealed that her beauty routine is far from reliant on expensive, high-end products. Instead, the actress opts for simple, natural remedies found in Indian kitchens. In a 2011 interview, Fernandez shared her eco-friendly beauty regimen, which includes a combination of homemade skincare, haircare tips, and fitness routines.
One of Jacqueline’s top haircare tips is using an egg white mask to nourish the hair and a beer rinse to add shine. She emphasized the importance of a good hair massage, ensuring that the hair is in top condition before styling. “The conditioner you use is all-important; hair needs that extra coating,” she explained.
When it comes to skincare, Fernandez favors natural ingredients such as yogurt and honey. She often combines the two to create a soothing face mask that helps calm her skin. Additionally, she uses ice packs wrapped in muslin or tissue to rejuvenate her face and eyes. “I also sometimes use honey as a lip balm,” she added.
Jacqueline credits her healthy hair to both genetics and a dedicated care routine. “My hair is my most important asset, and I take pride in maintaining it,” she said. In the interview, she also touched upon her diet and fitness habits. She begins her day with toast and muesli, followed by a light lunch of salad and vegetables. Dinner is kept light, and she opts for superfoods such as salmon, sushi, and nuts. “I think my hair has remained thick and shiny because of all the fish I eat,” she shared, adding that her diet plays a key role in her skin’s health.
Rather than spending time at the gym, Jacqueline prefers a combination of power yoga and dance to keep in shape. Her holistic approach to beauty and wellness, which emphasizes natural remedies, balanced nutrition, and regular exercise, has contributed to her enviable physique and glowing skin.
Jacqueline Fernandez, who most recently appeared in the music video for Yimmy Yimmy, is set to star in upcoming films Fateh and Welcome To The Jungle.
