St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) in Quezon City officially launched its newly enhanced dermatology facility, the Skin Center by St. Luke’s, last week, offering a comprehensive suite of advanced clinical and aesthetic skin care treatments.
Dr. Dennis P. Serrano, SLMC’s president and CEO, emphasized that the launch is part of the hospital’s strategic rebranding efforts aimed at solidifying its role as a leading hub for both medical and aesthetic services.
“There is a growing demand for aesthetic treatments, and while we continue to prioritize pathologic care, we are expanding our services to meet this demand without compromising our core mission of treating medical conditions,” Dr. Serrano told.
The upgraded clinic addresses the evolving needs of patients, offering state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and procedures. Dr. Serrano acknowledged the limitations of the previous clinic, noting that the rebranding signals significant improvements in both service quality and patient satisfaction.
“We’ve always had the expertise, but now we are sending a clear message that we’ve elevated our services to meet the highest expectations,” he said.
At the launch event, guests, media members, and SLMC medical professionals toured the newly revamped center, which features specialized treatment rooms equipped with advanced machines for a wide range of services. These include laser and energy-based therapies for pigment and tattoo removal, hair removal, facial and body sculpting, as well as other cutting-edge aesthetic procedures.
The Skin Center also offers specialized care for various skin conditions, including photodermatology for conditions like psoriasis and vitiligo, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery for precise skin cancer removal. Additional services include microscopic skin biopsies, hair restoration treatments, and pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Serrano further emphasized that the new facility reflects St. Luke’s commitment to staying ahead of dermatological advancements, ensuring the hospital remains a leader in the field of skin care.
