Solasta Healthcare’s newly opened clinic in The Boulevard, Banbridge, has successfully completed its first round of cataract surgeries, marking a significant milestone for the medical team. The clinic, led by Mr. Mícheál O’Gallagher, the organization’s lead medical director, brings together a highly skilled eye care team with over 120 years of collective experience.
The multidisciplinary team at Solasta includes expert surgeons, optometrists, clinic coordinators, nursing staff, and patient care specialists, all dedicated to providing personalized care that prioritizes patient comfort and well-being. Mr. O’Gallagher, one of the region’s leading anterior segment surgeons, specializes in cataract treatment and other eye conditions.
On the clinic’s first full day of cataract surgeries, the team was pictured together, including Liz McClean, Barbara Finlay, Bridgean McKay, Ruth Collins, Jill Currie, Mr. O’Gallagher, and Dr. Mark Maguire.
Speaking about the successful opening of the clinic, Mr. O’Gallagher expressed pride in the team’s efforts. “This truly is a team effort, and I could not be more proud of what we’ve achieved over the last few weeks,” he said. “The response from our first patients has been exceptional, and we are already receiving considerable interest from across Ireland. We look forward to offering a timely solution, especially for those affected by long NHS waiting lists.”
