Renee Marie Aesthetics and Wellness has officially launched its new location at 47b City Centre in Batavia, with a grand opening held on Saturday. Situated next to Guler Cardiology, the wellness center offers a range of medical-based beauty services, including facial fillers, neurotoxin treatments (such as Botox), body sculpting, medical weight loss programs, skincare products, facials, microneedling, dermabrasion, and vitamin injections.
Founded by Batavia native Renee Robbins-Yonkin, a Family Nurse Practitioner, the new business is an expansion of her existing facility in Elma, which she opened nearly two years ago. Yonkin, who has been working at Guler Cardiology since October, decided to open the City Centre location with the support of her friends and family.
“This is my home, so to be able to bring this here is nice,” said Yonkin. “I’ve had a tremendous amount of support—not just from friends and family, but from coworkers as well. It’s been wonderful.”
Yonkin’s career journey includes a nursing bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University at Utica College and a master’s in Family Practice Nursing from D’Youville College. She has extensive experience as a registered nurse at Rochester Regional Health and as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Oak Orchard Health.
The new Batavia location features two treatment rooms, a consultation room, a waiting area, and office space. Yonkin plans to expand the center by adding massage services and eventually developing it into a full wellness center.
Yonkin’s approach to health and wellness combines holistic principles with modern treatments. “I’m really into fitness, nutrition, and supplements, always aiming for a natural approach. But if needed, I also use medication. I offer EMS body sculpting and advanced Glo2Facials, which rejuvenate and tighten the skin for all types of skin, even on the body,” she explained.
The inspiration for starting her business stemmed from a personal experience. “A family member’s heart attack really pushed me to dive deeper into health and wellness,” Yonkin shared. “I feel like people trust me. If I can help you, I will. If not, I’ll find someone who can. It’s a great feeling to know that I’ve changed someone’s life.”
