Shep Rose, 45, has always been known for his laid-back persona, and during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Southern Charm star opened up about his beauty routine—or lack thereof. When Cohen directly asked if Rose had ever received Botox treatments, he quickly and adamantly replied, “No!” He went on to emphasize that he had never undergone any cosmetic procedures, proudly showing off his natural forehead movements to prove his point.
“I’ve never done anything to myself. I haven’t been to a doctor,” Rose stated, rejecting any notion of having altered his appearance with treatments.
While Rose maintains his youthful appearance naturally, his past includes one notable medical procedure. In 2017, he underwent surgery to address a long-standing knee injury, describing the procedure as a “knee scoop” in an interview.
Despite his laid-back stance on cosmetic procedures, Rose’s Southern Charm castmates are more open about their beauty regimens. In an earlier episode of the show, co-star Craig Conover revealed he takes skincare seriously, regularly receiving facials and hydrofacials to maintain his complexion. Conover even admitted to using “age-defying” products during his facials.
Austen Kroll, another cast member, also shared details about his skincare routine, including his decision to undergo an “IPL photofacial” to reduce sunspots and pigmentation, as well as filler beneath his right eye. Although Kroll noted that the filler fades over time, he stated it was a one-time procedure.
While Rose remains resolute in his decision to avoid cosmetic enhancements, Conover expressed his hesitation about injections. “My only fear with injections…is that once you start, you have to keep up with them,” he said, adding that he prefers to focus on maintaining his skin naturally.
As for Rose, it seems his low-maintenance approach to beauty and grooming is here to stay, leaving the spotlight to his castmates’ more elaborate routines.
