Kris Bernal, known for her stunning looks and dedication to self-care, shared how motherhood has reshaped her perspective on beauty and skincare. During the grand opening of Avignon Clinic’s new branch in Alabang on December 2, 2024, the actress revealed that becoming a mother has made her appreciate the simplicity and natural beauty of life.
“For me, the simpler, the better. The more natural and classic it is, the more it shows your real beauty,” Kris expressed during the event, reinforcing her shift towards a more minimalistic approach to beauty.
Since welcoming her daughter, Hailee Lucca, on August 15, 2023, Kris has streamlined her beauty regimen, cutting it down to just two or three basic steps. “At home, it’s simple,” she explained. “I don’t have much time for a lengthy skincare routine.”
Her current regimen consists mainly of facial wash and moisturizer. “Oh my gosh, I’ve realized that less is more,” Kris said with a smile. “Sometimes I add toner, but that’s it. The simpler it is, the more effective it is.”
She also revealed that she’s never been a fan of sunscreen, citing how it makes her skin feel greasy. “I’m low maintenance,” she added, underscoring her preference for simplicity in both her skincare and lifestyle.
Despite her pared-back approach, Kris still prioritizes self-care, particularly through visits to the dermatologist for some well-deserved pampering. Her treatment of choice is the Exilis Ultra 360, a non-invasive procedure for face and body contouring. The treatment uses dynamic monopolar RF technology to evenly heat tissue, providing skin tightening and contouring benefits. “Before, I used to go to Avignon every week. I love Exilis for my face because it keeps my face contoured and small,” she said.
At Avignon Clinic, the Exilis treatment starts at PHP8,000, and while Kris still loves the procedure, her current focus remains on facial treatments, as she is breastfeeding. “Since I’m breastfeeding, my options are a bit limited,” she explained. “But I love the Hydrating Facial—it’s gentle and perfect for my skin right now.”
Looking ahead, Kris has some future treatments in mind. Once she’s no longer breastfeeding, she plans to explore options like Ultherapy, Thermage, and Botox. “I’m getting older, so I want to try those treatments,” she admitted.
Kris Bernal’s journey into motherhood has not only deepened her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures but has also shifted her beauty routine toward a more natural, low-maintenance approach, embracing the idea that less truly can be more when it comes to self-care.
