Kailyn Lowry, known for her role on Teen Mom 2 and as a mother of seven, has revealed that she recently underwent breast reduction surgery. The announcement came just days after the procedure, as Lowry shared her recovery progress on social media.
In a candid Instagram Story posted on December 29, the reality TV star can be seen holding up a peace sign while wearing a smile, captioning the selfie: “4 days post-op.” The 32-year-old mother also included a poll asking her followers, “Do you want breast reduction videos?”
In another video, Lowry, lying down in a dimly lit room, again flashed the peace sign as she announced, “Out of surgery, lots of videos to come.” The clips signify a new chapter for Lowry, who has been vocal about her desire for breast reduction surgery in the past.
Earlier this year, following the birth of her twin sons Valley and Verse—who are now 14 months old—Lowry discussed her frustration after being denied a “boob job.” On the May 17 episode of her Barely Famous podcast, she shared the emotional experience of being told she needed to lose weight before undergoing the procedure. “I called around to schedule consultations and they told me I needed to lose 40 pounds… maybe 50,” Lowry recalled. “That was extremely humbling.”
Kailyn, who shares her twins and son Rio, 2, with her fiancé Elijah Scott, is also the mother to sons Isaac, 14, Lincoln, 11, Lux, 7, and Creed, 4, from previous relationships.
This isn’t the first time Kailyn has been open about her journey with cosmetic procedures.
