Luxury skincare brand RAS Luxury Skincare has successfully raised $5 million in a Series A funding round, with Unilever Ventures, the investment arm of Unilever, leading the round. The Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund also joined as a new institutional investor.
Existing investors, including Sixth Sense Ventures and a group of prominent angel investors—such as the family of Keki Mistry—also participated in this funding round.
The fresh capital will primarily be used to expand the brand’s retail presence. The company plans to focus on opening exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and shop-in-shop formats, with 50 new EBOs slated to open across India over the next three years. Additionally, funds will be allocated to talent acquisition, research and development for new product lines, as well as branding, marketing, and technology improvements aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
“We aim to accelerate our journey towards becoming India’s leading luxury skincare brand and expand globally. This funding will help us strengthen our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and profitability while building a strong foundation for long-term success,” said Shubhika Jain, Founder and CEO of RAS Luxury Skincare.
Founded by Sangeeta Jain and her daughters Shubhika and Suramya Jain, RAS Luxury Skincare is a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand that combines the richness of Indian heritage with modern skincare needs. The brand offers premium products infused with the benefits of active botanicals.
Pawan Chaturvedi, Partner & Head of Asia at Unilever Ventures, expressed excitement about the brand’s potential, stating, “We are thrilled to support RAS in building a luxury skincare brand that blends Indian tradition with the demands of today’s consumer. As a vertically integrated company, RAS is uniquely positioned to deliver on its promises of sustainability, safety, and high-performing products. With the premium beauty market in India set for significant growth in the next 5 to 7 years, RAS is well-positioned to capture this opportunity.”
RAS Luxury Skincare has demonstrated impressive growth, reporting a 140% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past year. More than 50% of its revenue now comes from its direct-to-consumer channels, with the remainder derived from e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, including Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Tira, Blinkit, and Zepto.
With an eye on expanding its offline retail presence, RAS anticipates that offline channels will contribute 25% of its revenue in the next four years. The company is also targeting substantial growth in the HORECA (hotel, restaurant, and catering) sector.
The Series A funding marks a pivotal step in RAS Luxury Skincare’s vision to revolutionize the luxury skincare market in India and beyond.
