LG Chem announced on Friday the launch of its polynucleotide (PN)-based skin booster, HP VITARAN (exported as HP Cell VITARAN i), in Thailand. This strategic move broadens the company’s portfolio in the growing field of aesthetic products.
HP Cell VITARAN i, developed in collaboration with Korean regenerative medicine company BR Pharm, is an injectable treatment designed to enhance skin appearance. Unlike skin boosters categorized as cosmetics, VITARAN is classified as a medical device, enabling direct application into the skin for more noticeable results, according to LG Chem.
Introduced in Korea in 2023, VITARAN is manufactured using raw materials sourced from BR Pharm’s trout farming facilities, which have been certified safe by Korea’s National Institute of Fisheries Science.
Thailand, identified as Southeast Asia’s largest market for aesthetic treatments, is experiencing rapid growth in non-invasive procedures. The Thai Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Surgery valued the market at 700 billion won ($484 million) in 2023, with projections indicating it will surpass 1.5 trillion won by 2030.
LG Chem has already established a strong presence in Thailand with its dermal filler YVOIRE, launched in 2021. The company emphasized that combining VITARAN with YVOIRE through its direct sales network will create synergy, driving growth in the Thai market.
“With the rising demand for natural skin enhancement, injection-based solutions like fillers and skin boosters are becoming increasingly popular,” an LG Chem representative stated. “Companies offering a broad range of products that meet both consumer and physician needs are positioned for success.”
To further solidify its position in Thailand’s medical aesthetics market, LG Chem is also preparing to introduce its premium filler line, Y-Solution, reinforcing its comprehensive product lineup.
This latest move reflects LG Chem’s commitment to expanding its influence in high-potential markets, leveraging innovative product offerings to cater to growing consumer preferences for non-invasive skin improvement solutions.
