Kailyn Lowry, star of Teen Mom, has shared a raw and candid look into her post-surgery recovery, revealing graphic photos from her recent plastic surgery procedures. The 32-year-old mother of seven opened up about undergoing breast reduction surgery, a tummy tuck, and lipo 360 over the holiday season. However, she has since expressed significant regret over her decision.
In a series of honest updates shared with her followers, Lowry posted photos showing tubes attached to her nose and stomach, with visible blood indicating the intensity of the procedures. Despite the grim images, she reassured fans that she was taking extra protein supplements to aid her recovery.
Last week, Lowry took to Instagram to discuss her emotional journey and the aftermath of her surgeries. In a video of herself applying makeup, she revealed that she had regained some independence, such as being able to shower and walk around without assistance. However, she admitted that her energy levels remained low, often feeling exhausted midway through the day.
She further reflected on the emotional toll the surgery had taken, particularly during a difficult morning when she found herself in tears. “I pray that my kids never struggle with their body image enough to mutilate their bodies to be skinny,” she shared, adding that while cosmetic procedures like nose jobs or breast implants may be acceptable, extreme measures to achieve a “skinny” body were harmful and could be rooted in deeper mental health struggles.
Kailyn also expressed concerns about the impact of body dysmorphia on her children, noting how she felt compelled to undergo the procedures over the Christmas holiday, despite the personal sacrifices involved. “I was willing to go to any length to be skinny,” she admitted, acknowledging the strain it caused on her relationship with her fiancé, Elijah, who was unable to provide full support during her recovery.
As she continued to reflect on her decisions, Lowry revealed the extent of her surgeries, explaining that what began as a breast reduction quickly escalated to a tummy tuck and liposuction. “I shouldn’t have put Elijah through all of this,” she said, recognizing the toll the process had on both of them.
