Jessel Taank, star of The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY), shared her thoughts on the highly discussed moment during the Season 15 reunion when Andy Cohen asked about her plastic surgery. The 45-year-old reality star appeared on the How to Fail podcast on February 12, where she reflected on the exchange that took place on the reunion stage.
Taank, who has always maintained transparency about her beauty enhancements, clarified that she wasn’t offended by Cohen’s question about her cosmetic procedures. “The fact that Andy asked me, I wasn’t offended because I know he issued a statement about this. He does ask, I’m sure, at every reunion, ‘Have you guys prepared?’” she explained. “Loves a boob job, loves a nose job, loves a bit of filler and Botox. For me, he’s been so complimentary of me and how I dress and how I look, so I didn’t take offense to it.”
However, things took an uncomfortable turn when fellow RHONY cast member Brynn Whitfield added her own comments to the discussion. Whitfield claimed, “Well, I know what she’s done to her face,” which Taank interpreted as an insinuation that she had undergone more drastic procedures, such as a nose job or facelift—something Taank denies. The situation escalated when Whitfield also accused Taank of running out on a bill after being introduced to someone who performs injectables, a claim Taank vehemently denied.
The tension grew as Cohen continued to press the issue. “It got really awkward,” Taank admitted. “And then I was asked, ‘OK, well, what did you do?’ That was kind of the stress of it all.” Despite the awkwardness, Taank stood firm in her stance, saying, “I’ve only done Botox and filler. My mum would kill me if I did anything more.”
The conversation first began during the January airing of the RHONY Season 15 finale, where Cohen remarked that Taank had undergone a “glow up” and looked like a “more airbrushed version” of herself. Taank explained that her transformation was the result of a new haircut, weight loss, and the use of Botox since she was 26. “I got Botox and I do filler and that’s it,” she confirmed, adding that she had also gotten veneers.
In the reunion special, Cohen pressed further, pointing out that Taank had been somewhat reserved in admitting her cosmetic work. To which she clarified, “It is just the sprinkle of Botox, the fillers, and the veneers.”
Following the reunion, Cohen addressed the widespread reactions, defending his line of questioning. In a January post on X (formerly Twitter), he stated, “‘What work have you done’ remains at the top of the list of viewer questions every season, every franchise… The Housewives have unabashedly let us into their beauty regimes since day one; it’s a big part of the series DNA.”
As the conversation over plastic surgery continues to be a recurring theme in the Real Housewives franchise, Taank’s candid comments reflect her commitment to being honest about her personal beauty regimen, despite the occasional discomfort it may bring.
