Daisy, the 38-year-old star of the hit series Am I Being Unreasonable?, recently opened up about her dramatic transformation between the first and second seasons of the show. During a candid appearance on Radio 4, she joked about how cosmetic procedures left her looking like the cartoon character “Count Duckula,” a humorous reference to her frozen expression caused by Botox.
“I have had all the Botox and that. I couldn’t move my eyebrows, which isn’t great for an actress,” Daisy shared. “My eyebrows were so stiff. I looked like that cartoon character Count Duckula. They looked like triangles.”
As Am I Being Unreasonable? returns for its second season, Daisy’s physical appearance has notably changed, with the actress revealing a significant weight loss, lip enhancements, and even some inconsistencies in her on-screen pregnancy status. “Season two is meant to take place about half an hour after season one ends, yet I’ve lost about 10 stone, had my lips done, and in some scenes, I’m pregnant and in others, I’m not,” she explained.
Despite the noticeable differences, Daisy reassured fans that everything would be addressed in the upcoming episodes. “People are going to wonder what is going on, but please, bear with us,” she said. She also humorously pointed out a flashback in episode two where the transformation is particularly evident, noting, “In season one, I have no lips, and in season two, I’m like Donald Duck.”
Daisy clarified that her cosmetic changes were a personal decision, calling them a “defence mechanism,” and emphasized that she had not undergone any “plastic surgery.”
On a personal note, Daisy also recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Anthony Huggins after a whirlwind romance. The couple welcomed their son, Benji, in June 2024, with Daisy sharing that he arrived earlier than expected. Daisy, who has two children from her previous marriage to ex-husband Will Weston, is balancing her career, family life, and her newfound success.
The success of Am I Being Unreasonable? has been lucrative for Daisy, with reports revealing that she is now earning £19,000 a week thanks to the series’ popularity.
