Actress Zarina Anjoulie, known for her candid approach to cosmetic procedures, recently expressed regret over a nose job she underwent in Vietnam. The 37-year-old had previously shared her excitement about the procedure, which cost her RM13,000, describing how it made her feel more like herself. However, Zarina has now revealed that her experience took a troubling turn.
On Monday, March 3, Zarina took to Instagram to share the health complications she has been facing since the surgery. She explained that her nose had become painful due to an infection, leading to symptoms like fever and muscle soreness. “I regret having the surgery and vow never to do something like this again,” she confessed to her followers.
Zarina’s experience has prompted her to seek help at a local clinic in Neo Damansara, where the silicone from the procedure was successfully removed. She explained that the clinic in Vietnam, which had sponsored her nose job, had been unhygienic, and the silicone used was actually repurposed from another patient. Zarina shared a comparison of her nose post-treatment, noting the improvement in the redness and stitching.
Reflecting on her decision, the actress admitted that her initial procedure was part of a sponsored review for the clinic’s services. “I don’t know why I did it; my nose was fine as it was,” she stated, offering a cautionary tale for those considering cosmetic procedures.
Zarina’s experience serves as a reminder to thoroughly research any clinic before undergoing surgery, especially when it comes to unfamiliar, sponsored procedures.
